Steel Tank Erection

Bolted steel digester tanks go up panel by panel. Our crews run the crane, lifts and rigging together, so every panel sets true and the build keeps moving toward startup.

Large-Diameter Tank

Large-diameter digesters leave no room for error. We lay out and erect the shell across a wide, open site, then add the stairs and access steel, so the tank is ready for process equipment on schedule.

Curved Wall Envelope

A digester is only as good as the envelope around it. We wrap and close in curved tank walls cleanly, protecting the process inside and handing finish trades a sealed shell that is ready to go.

What developers and technology providers ask before they bring Calgaro onto a digester site.

Who designs the tank, and who erects it?
The technology provider or developer brings the process design and tank specification. Calgaro brings the crews, equipment and schedule to erect the tank to that specification and hand it over ready for process equipment.
Do you work with biogas technology providers?
Yes. Calgaro has erected digester tanks for some of the largest utilities, technology providers and developers in biogas, built to each one's specifications.
What does your tank erection scope include?
Mobilization, layout on the foundation, bolted shell erection, stairs, platforms and access steel, the insulation wrap and cladding envelope, and handover of a sealed, accessible tank.
Can you also build the buildings around the tank?
Yes. Calgaro builds feedstock and process buildings, gas conditioning and compression enclosures, and structural steel frames, so one contractor can carry the tank and the steel around it.
Are you PWA compliant?
Yes. Calgaro staffs and documents every job to meet federal prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements, with prevailing wage rates for every trade, registered apprentices on site, and payroll and apprenticeship records on file.
Where do you work?
Nationwide. Calgaro's crews and equipment travel to the project site, wherever it is.
